Pre-order!

I’ll be making a few chokers this month, priced at around $35-40 depending on what I put into them, so if any followers would like to call dibs, email me at houseofdecay at gmail.com and I’ll even custom make the piece to the bead colors of your choosing, and in the style of any of the former pieces.

SOLD! A new record! Half an hour from listing to sale! Whoo! More pieces to come soon, if anyone wants to pre-order the next choker (and pick your colors!) let me know! (Ask me here, get a hold of me on etsy, or email houseofdecay at gmail.com)
The fifth in a line of chokers vaguely inspired by the show Deadwood/the wild west victorian style, this piece features a more ornate cameo setting.
Taking a cue from “Bella Union”, “The Gem”, and the other pieces in this line, this pieces features a beautiful vintage watch movement, set into a cameo bezel in a gorgeous antiqued bronze finish and ringed by a delicate chain to finish the edges, as the centerpiece for this beautful choker. From large link bronze toned chain hangs the cameo pendant, and several lengths of chain accented by beads in a deep, blood red, and a faceted black, and finished off by a pair of gorgeous black glass leaves hanging from the bottom. The cameo setting used in this piece is larger and more ornate than the previous ones, with delicate scrollwork and flowers which have clear rhinestones set into them, and one tiny, blood red bead on the bottom most flower. A truly gorgeous necklace! This is a ‘one size fits all’ choker, with a lobster clasp which can be fastened to any of the links to make this as long or short as needed. Comes with matching earrings, which feature blood red and gold beads, and black glass leaves.

I’m still alive and kicking, and have had two more orders for necklaces come in, this being one of them. Sorry guys, this baby’s got a home already lined up.
BUT. I will be making more of these, and if you wanna snag the next piece before I make it (and have a hand in what colors I use, even) you can email me at houseofdecay at gmail.com.

auspiciousanna asked: Will you be making anymore necklaces like the one you called "The Gem?" I would like to "pre-order" one if so :) Any bead colours would be fine with me ^^

I have one more cameo with a watch face, ready to make something with. I was planning to do it similar to Bella Union (check on here, its farther down) and do it in black and red, since I have a surplus of those beads, but I could do it in the same draping style as The Gem, with the red tear drops instead of the larger, black ones, as I don’t have anymore of those… I do have all sorts of other colors, if you have a preference, but not all colors go with the antiqued bronze scheme of the cameo/chains so just keep that in mind. You can email me at houseofdecay at gmail, if you’d like to talk more specifics? :)

SOLD! These are going ridiculously fast!
The GemAfter the wildly successful Bella Union, which sold within 2 hours of listing, I’ve made a similar, but different, piece, Called “The Gem”. Just listed! $25, comes with earrings. I can make another of these, with different bead colors, and plan to make something similar to Bella Union’s color scheme this weekend.

Valentine’s day is right around the corner!
Listed at $18.
(This is one of the last three pieces of jewelry mom created, that were not yet listed, before she passed away.)
Another variation on this theme, this necklace was kept pretty simple, just an array of different lengths of chains, three styles of heart pendants, and two rows of orangey-red faux pearls.
This is one of the last pieces made by the original designer of House of Decay, my mother. It was left unfinished, but I didn’t feel right adding to it, I think it’s beautiful as is.
This item is for sale. Click the picture to see more pics and the listing.

supertonicsandwich asked: Your work is absolutely STUNNING. As soon as I'm not scary broke I'll buy something...a couple questions...1. Do you do custom/requested pieces? 2. Where do you get your supplies? I've wanted to get back into jewelry making lately. I understand if you don't want to reveal your sources, though! :-)

1. Yes! It depends, of course, on what I have to work with and what you’re looking for, but I’d love to do a custom piece, I’ve been thinking of putting something on here to ask if anyone would like to order something custom. :)

2. My supplies I get partially from friends/relatives, partly from a guy who gives me tons of junk jewelry for free because he’s going to throw it away, and some of it I buy online/at a store. Mostly wire for findings, chains I don’t have, etc. In general, mom and I -always- tried to use a ton of ‘recycled’ stuff, from beads, findings, and chains, to earrings, pendants, etc, that we’ve revamped and repurposed.

Probably not the most helpful answer but yeah. Thanks for asking!
(For the record, I love questions like this, and inquiries on pieces/custom work!)

For everyone asking about this, it’s a men’s size 11.
This item is for sale! Click the picture for the listing.  $18.50, snap it up quick!
“This started it’s life as an ugly, huge metal ring, with a vague sort of etching, an initial or something, on it’s top. But so flat and boring, it was, until I found this perfectly shaped vintage watch movement to stick atop it!
Finished off with a lovely silver toned chain, this ring is around a men’s size 11, from what I can tell. (It’s shape made it hard to measure when I took it in to a jewelry shop but I had someone who it fits get their finger sized, and we’re going with that.) It’s a very LARGE ring, the movement/top of the ring measures about an inch. It’s a little heavy but it’s weight is well distrubuted and it looks lovely on!”

SOLD! Wow! (Don’t worry, there’s a nearly identical piece in the works, in different colors. However, if you absolutely must have this necklace, I could do another in the same colors, with a slightly different watch movement.)
Inspired by some of the jewelry on the show Deadwood, I decided to try something a little elegant, a little victorian, and a little steampunk. A beautiful vintage watch movement, framed by a thin silvery chain, set into a cameo bezel in a gorgeous antiqued bronze finish is the centerpiece for this beautful choker. From large link bronze toned chain hangs the cameo pendant, and several lengths of chain accented by czech glass beads in blood red, and faceted black, draped between the pendant and the main chain. Three blood red tear drop beads hanging from the bottom of the cameo finish this piece off. This is a ‘one size fits all’ choker, with a lobster clasp which can be fastened to any of the links to make this as long or short as needed. Comes with matching earrings!

Friend of mine is making these Mini Top Hats, they’re about 6 inches tall by about 6 inches around and clip into the hair with a little comb. She’s thinking pricing would be around $15-35 depending on the elaborateness of the piece.

The pictured ones are not, sadly, for sale, but she could do similar.

She’s thinking of starting an etsy for them. Would anyone be interested in these?

Listed in another post, and sold! (But more pieces like this one are in the works!)
Brand new piece!
I’ll be listing this tomorrow, probably with matching earrings, thinking around $25 for it. If anyone wants to call dibs on this before it’s listed just comment here or message me here or on etsy, and I’ll ‘reserve’ it for you. This is adjustable, and length can be added or subtracted if needed.
Anyone wanna call dibs?

One of the last pieces of the Original House of Decay work, (as in pieces created by my mother before her death), this pendant has been sitting in the finished box for ages, and even previewed on Facebook and Tumblr, but never listed. She started with a lovely pounded metal disc, added a gorgeous gold toned disc with an abstract embossed pattern on it, affixed a gorgeous vintage Elgin watch movement to that, and framed it with a lovely gold toned braided chain.

I found the pendant for this in amongst the work in progress bits and pieces of mom’s stuff, at the time it had a different and not round movement inside.
I took a beautiful, round Bulova watch movement, stuck it under the glass, affixed a watch back to the case, and hung it from a bright silver toned chain, accented with two different sizes of faceted Aurora Borealis crystal, in a very pale almost yellowish hue, and clear faceted czech glass beads, and finished off with a silver toned lobster clasp. The pendant features the most ridculously sparkly rhinestone encrusted ball dangling from the end of it, and that paired with the rhinestones framing the pendant and the crystals accenting the chain, make for a very, very sparkly necklace. A little steampunk, a little diva…Pictures do NOT do this justice, this sparkles and glitters like diamonds in the light!Necklace measures about 12 inches when laid flat, chain only, not including length of pendant. Can be adjusted if needed.
